Runway Project 15-33 Preps to Open Full Length

As work wraps up for the season on the Runway 15-33 rehab project, we are beginning preparations to bring the runway back to full length.

As a result, there will be a 16-hour full runway closure from 1900 local time on September 17, 2024 to 1100 local time on September 18, 2024.

This closure is necessary to remove the temporary markings from the shortened runway, paint new runway markings for the full length, adjust airfield signage, and configure lighting systems.

To minimize disruption to scheduled operations, we have planned for the runway to be closed overnight. 

We remain committed to maintaining transparency and close communication with all stakeholders and affected parties.

Work to complete rehab on the opposite end of the runway is slated for Spring 2025 and we will continue to provide updates and pertinent information as soon as it becomes available.
