Anthony P. Caruso, Jr., C.M.
Anthony P. (Tony) Caruso, Jr. holds a B.S. degree in Aviation Science, with a concentration in Airport Management, from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts. His diverse aviation background includes FBO management, airline operations and airport management. In addition to serving as Assistant Director for 10 years, Mr. Caruso directly oversaw the Airport's FBO, Bangor Aviation Services, which includes ramp services, fueling, aircraft maintenance, ground support maintenance, passenger services and customer services. Mr. Caruso is a FAA licensed Private Pilot and is a Certified Member through the American Association of Airport Executives.
Assistant Airport Director
James, returned to Maine to join the BGR team in 2013 after working at airports around the world. After graduating from Daniel Webster College where he earned his B.S. in Aviation Management and A.S. in Flight Operations, James joined the US Army as an Aviation Operations Specialist. After his service to the Army, James worked in several airport operation departments state side before traveling to Baghdad to become the Operations Supervisor/Warehouse Manager at Baghdad International Airport. At BGR, James oversees Airport's FBO, Bangor Aviation Services, which includes ramp services, fueling, aircraft maintenance, ground support maintenance, passenger services and customer services.
Tim comes to his position as Accounting Manager for BGR with a wealth of financial management experience. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Treasurer, Controller for the Bangor Daily News. Time has a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Maine and is a Certified Management Accountant. His responsiblilities include overseeing the finanacial reports and functions at Bangor International. Tim serves as the Treasurer of the American Folk Festival and is Past President of the Institute of Management Accountants for the Bangor-Waterville Chapter.
Risteen H. Bahr
Risteen joined the BGR Team in March 2007. She has worked in the tourism and transportation industry since 1993. She brings a wealth of marketing knowledge and experience to the Airport. Ms. Bahr's prior experience comes from seven years as the Director of Marketing for Bay Ferries, operators of the high speed ferry service from Bar Harbor and Portland. Prior to joining the ferry operation in 1999, she was the Executive Director of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce for 6 ½ years. A Maine native and graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, she is the past Chairman of DownEast & Acadia Regional Tourism and is active in many other tourism related organizations such as the Maine Tourism Association, the Greater Bangor CVB, and is currently Chair of The Maine Highlands Board of Directors.
Superintendent of Operations
Robert (Robbie) Beaton holds a M.S. degree in Business Management from Husson University in Bangor, Maine. He is an experienced professional who has extensive knowledge of Operations Management. His previous experience ranges from Human Resources, Operations Manager and Plant Manager for a world class manufacturing facility. Robbie oversees the divisions of Airfield Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Fuel Division, Communications, Airport Security and Compliance, and Operations at one of the largest operating airfields east of the Mississippi.
