American Airlines will start summer service from Bangor International Airport to Charlotte-Douglas International starting June 3th. The service will be operated once daily on Saturdays through August 19th.
Tony Caruso, Airport Director commented, “BGR is very excited about American’s announcement of Saturday summer service to Charlotte. Charlotte has been one of the hubs in our strategic plan, so we are very pleased that American is adding it to their routes from BGR. American’s summer service will give our customers the chance to use another hub for their summer travels plus Charlotte is a great destination city.” Mr. Caruso went on to say that this service will be on a 67 seat CRJ-700 with two classes of service. The flights will depart Charlotte at 9:35 am arriving in Bangor at 12:10 pm. Flights will depart BGR at 12:45 pm and arrive in Charlotte at 3:35 pm.
American Airlines also flies to Philadelphia and Washington, DC from Bangor International and is the airport’s largest carrier transporting with 46% of BGR passengers in 2016.
